Trevor Reckerman – Consultant
Trevor is an industry veteran with a 50-year crusade in corporate management. Many of these years were spent with Nestle in Sri Lanka and later in international management covering several markets. While Brand Marketing remained a focal anchor of his career, Trevor played a pivotal role in General Management functions serving as market Head in developing Asian Nestle entities.
Having relinquished his Nestle tutelage, Trevor returned to Sri Lanka to assume leadership in the McLarens Group to grow the ExxonMobil distribution agency business in Sri Lanka, which he served with distinction. After a five year sojourn in the lubricant sector as Managing Director, he proceeded to launch his long cherished boutique management consultancy under the title, Talisman Enterprises. His focus was business re-engineering where he foresaw several restructuring assignments with Sri Lanka blue chip organizations including the Hayleys Group, Expolanka Plc & Litro Gas, while venturing into the hospitality sector with Jetwing Hotels, where he undertook the role of Head of Marketing that covered several established properties and a slew of new ventures, which required developmental work leading to commercial operations. Property positioning and branding was a core discipline which he pioneered in the Jetwing Chain of hotels which to this day is regarded as a distinct hospitality icon in Sri Lanka.
Apart from these corporate roles over a long and industrious career, Trevor has a penchant for commercial and sports writing. He is also an avid sports enthusiast having played national football, moving seamlessly into sports management where he served Sri Lanka Football & Sri Lanka Badminton as Secretary General and CEO during separate periods of service.
